Happy New Year! A few months ago, I announced that I’m seeking the Republican nomination for Sheriff of Edgefield County in the June 9, 2020 primary. If I’ve not met you yet, I look forward to personally asking for your vote soon.
I am blessed to have grown up in Edgefield County and have worked the majority of my law
enforcement career with the Edgefield and Aiken County Sheriffs’ Offices. My qualifications to lead the Sheriff ’s Office in providing law enforcement services to citizens of Edgefield County include:
25 years as a law enforcement officer
Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice
Experience leading deputies
FBI National Academy Graduate
Consultant and Trainer – U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security
Edgefield County is growing and will continue to welcome new residents and businesses to our communities. With this growth, demands for law enforcement services and well-trained and equipped officers will only increase.
As your next Sheriff, I will recruit, train and develop dedicated law enforcement officers who will work to keep you, your families, and businesses safe. I will carry on Sheriff Dobey’s legacy while modernizing the Sheriff ’s Office to secure the future.
Edgefield County needs a proven law enforcement leader.
My priorities as Sheriff will be to:
Create Stability in the Sheriff’s Office
Recruit & Retain Dedicated Deputies
Support School Resource Officers in Every School
Establish a Strong Drug Awareness and Enforcement Team
Reduce Domestic Violence, Child and Elder Abuse
I strongly believe my background of leadership and management in both public law enforcement and corporate security makes me the best candidate for Sheriff. I have a strong record of positive change and team building. I’ll work closely with our elected officials to support and train county-wide with the municipalities, Fire and EMS departments to assist, support and serve them in law enforcement and public safety matters.
The Sheriff’s Office must have stability and work closely with our county-wide partners.
