(Edgefield, S.C.) - Jody Rowland, a local law enforcement leader with over 25 years of experience, officially filed paperwork today to run in the June 9th Republican Primary for Edgefield County Sheriff. Rowland, a native of Edgefield County, spent the majority of his law enforcement career with the Edgefield and Aiken County Sheriffs’ Offices.
“Edgefield County needs a proven law enforcement leader who will be tough on crime and make our community a safer place to work and raise a family,” said Rowland. “As your next Sheriff, I will reduce violent crimes, especially those against our most vulnerable citizens, our children and the elderly. And I will establish stability in the Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office by recruiting and retaining dedicated, well-trained deputies.”
“Edgefield County is growing and will continue to welcome new residents and businesses to our communities. With this growth, demands for law enforcement services and well-trained and equipped officers will only increase,” continued Rowland. “We will work closely with our county-wide partners including the municipalities, fire and EMS.”
Jody Rowland is the proven choice for Edgefield County Sheriff. In addition to his 25 years of law enforcement experience, he holds a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is an FBI National Academy Graduate and is a consultant and trainer with the United States Department of Homeland Security.
